Posadas la hermosa

The backyard was such a relaxing spot, full of trees and plants, and the house itself is stunning. I loved the decor, though a Paraguayan hammock would have made an outdoor nap even nicer. Hugo and his daughter treated me so well, and the food was delicious. They were happy to help with anything I needed. Their dog Phillip is very affectionate and loves being petted. I felt right at home in the comfortable rooms and was extremely happy with my stay. I hope to return in February.

The place is nice, basic but with everything needed in the room, and very clean. Johana and Paulo, who work there, provided very good service. They also have a gluten-free menu. I wasn't comfortable with some of the owner's derogatory, less inclusive comments about people from Chaco and Paraguay.

The service was good, and the room had what I needed, including shampoo, lotion, and soap. They also bought gluten-free breakfast items for me, and there's a very friendly dog. But the pool wasn't available even though it was listed, and we were charged for it. On the final day, they added a charge without warning because the owner had miscalculated on the first day. There was also bothersome noise from remodeling in the room next to ours.

It felt like staying at a friend's house. The owner sat and chatted with us like we'd known each other forever, and the breakfast he made himself was impressive. He's a chef as well as an architect. We were there last year, and the place and service were excellent. It was a superb experience, and I highly recommend it.
