This is only a restaurant review. The peaceful spot beside a little river, really more of a creek, is very pretty, and that’s what lifted this to two stars. The hotel looked lovely, but we only stopped at the posada for lunch, and the meal was a disaster. We waited nearly an hour for empanadas, then another 40 minutes for the mains, even though only five tables were occupied, about a quarter of the restaurant. The waitress got our order wrong and initially blamed us. She apologized later, but being gaslit as a paying customer felt awful. Half the menu wasn’t available, including basic options like pasta. Wine wasn’t listed on the menu either, so we didn’t know it was an option until one of us saw the bottles in the small bar area on the way to the bathroom. The empanadas were good, but everything else was bland, with no salt or pepper or much of anything. Prices were similar to fine dining places in lujan de cuyo/chacras de coria. Without the river and lovely surroundings, it would’ve been miserable. If you come for a meal, don’t arrive hungry, and expect a very long wait.

The river is right there, with plenty of outdoor seating to sit and enjoy nature. This small, quaint posada is beautiful and a lovely escape from big cities and their HEAT. It’s clearly meant to help you disconnect from the outside world, so it’s not somewhere to work or spend all day on social media. The staff are sweet and accommodating, and the comfortable rooms have all the amenities you could need, including a kettle for mate. There was a pricing issue between the resort and Google, which I raised directly with the owner. Juan was very nice, and his idea of giving people a place to relax and unplug is exactly right. I’d stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of getaway. Note: the restaurant is separate and has a separate owner.

A wonderful garden sits beside the river, whose sound makes the place feel even more peaceful. The architecture is lovely, with great attention to detail, and the rooms and beds are big. There’s also an excellent pool and green space for relaxing. The restaurant serves good food and wine at inexpensive prices, and the service was fantastic. Our host and the staff were all very nice and helpful. Fully recommended for a proper break in the mountains.

The beds were the best we had on our trip, and both the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Juan gave us a great welcome when we arrived as some of the first guests, since the hotel had just opened in January 2018. It’s a beautiful place with a swimming pool, whirlpool, and sauna. We enjoyed the wines, a nice dinner, and a great breakfast. There was still some work to finish, but it looked set to become one of the best places in the region.
