Hiraya Apart

Getting out was a huge hassle each time because the apartment isn't wheelchair accessible: there's a very steep downhill slope and three steps at the entrance. I told the owner that two of us used wheelchairs and walkers. The apartments were poorly maintained, and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. They changed the sheets without washing them. The place is very basic, with just an electric kettle and a minibar that was practically nonexistent. We didn't have a positive experience here.

The owners were incredibly helpful when my car broke down. Even though it was a holiday, they suggested auto parts shops and helped calm me down. The place is very peaceful and has a pool. I highly recommend it, and thank you so much! 😊

The pool was lovely and really peaceful, and there are big kiosks nearby for shopping. The terminal is about six blocks away, although the walk has ups and downs. We stayed two days and had an excellent time. We arrived at 9:30 to leave our things before going for a walk, and they kindly let us into the apartment before check-in. I highly recommend it!

The room is basic and uncomfortable, though it does the job. We didn't use the pool because the weather wasn't great. We stayed three nights at the Hiraya, and it was a letdown after reading the previous reviews. Getting around in the evening was difficult without a car because the location is far from the center and not very convenient. The bathroom is extremely outdated: there's no mixer tap, just an electric shower that felt borderline dangerous 🥺. Water stagnated, leaving a freezing footbath when you stepped in, and there were sewage and other very unpleasant smells. The toilet seat doesn't lift. Kitchen equipment is sparse, and the fridge is really a broken minibar that doesn't keep food cold. We threw out what we'd stored there because we didn't want to risk food poisoning. I think there are much better options.
