The rooms are dated and don’t have much equipment, and I was supposed to have A/C, but it didn’t work. The reception was disgraceful. You get the feeling you’re bothering them by staying there: no welcome, no word when you arrive or leave, no help, and no information. Housekeeping was much the same. They leave everything on the floor, so you can’t walk around the hotel. Guests clearly aren’t the focus. Overall, poor service for a still high price.

The bed was uncomfortable, and unfortunately the reception staff weren’t good with clients. The pool is small and only open from 1 pm to 8 pm. On Monday it was completely closed. Why? Maintenance? I guess they don’t have anyone on staff to look after it, and they don’t seem to do any maintenance. We chose a hotel in a hot city so we could relax by the pool most of the time, but we couldn’t access it. Shocking holiday break for a 4-star hotel.

The internet was under 1 Mb, and the pool isn’t open all year. Breakfast was almost all bread and pastries. There’s no safe in the rooms, so every time I left I had to leave my important things at the front desk. Facilities are bare minimum. The bathroom faucet leaked and was never fixed, and by the time I left the WC was flooding the bathroom.

The hotel restaurant served excellent quality at a good price. I’m taking off a star because the bathroom needs improvement, and the front desk service isn’t always as kind as a business traveler needs.

The breakfast was excellent, and so was the room and the service. I had a flawless stay.
