Dazzler by Wyndham Rosario

We only stayed because it was late and we had nowhere else to go. The night was already ruined by the time we left the parking situation and went back to reception. There was no one at the paid parking lot, and after searching and waiting far too long for someone, we parked and went upstairs to let the desk know the attendant wasn’t there. The receptionist was dealing with another upset guest and then shouted at us for not waiting longer. A manager first tried to step in, but soon joined the argument and blamed us for not following the rules. When we finally found the parking attendant, it turned out there was no problem with parking at all. The receptionist could simply have called to let the attendant know we’d parked. Booking customer support later offered a refund as an apology, but told us to contact the hotel. We did, and never got a reply. What a disgrace to the Wyndham brand. The room itself was awful too. It smelled really bad, though thankfully we could open the window for air. The bedding had large holes and dirty boot prints on it, while the decorative cushions and bed throw had white, starchy looking stains. Dirt marks covered the walls and floor in the bathroom, the bathtub had scum and someone’s hair in it, and there was mold on the ceiling. In the room, the walls were smudged with dirt as well. The elevators and hallway carpets looked as if they had never been cleaned since the hotel opened. This was easily my worst hotel experience anywhere in the world.

I liked the hotel, its location, and the service. The pool is a little small, and the gym can’t really be used. Apart from those two things, everything was great.

A pleasant hotel and room, though breakfast took an hour to arrive.

It was OK.
