Emilia Hotel

The road outside is extremely noisy, and the construction site opposite makes it worse. As of 16/02, the traffic on the road is dangerous. They’re overcharging and insisting on payment in efectivo, cash. That’s no way to run a hotel. Efectivo in Argentina? Low class.

The receptionist was the one bright spot. She was also the waitress, cook, and whatever else was needed, and she treated us well. The rest was awful. Our first-floor room had a street-facing balcony on a busy block, and even with the windows shut, noise came through all day and never let up. It felt exactly like sleeping on the sidewalk, as someone else described in a review. The bathroom was in terrible shape too: poorly cleaned, missing a toilet seat, crumbling walls, and doors that wouldn’t close. Disgusting. We stayed last weekend, and if you want a relaxing place, this isn’t it. Check reviews across all the sites where the place is listed instead of relying only on Booking.com, like we did. Honestly, keep looking. This place isn’t worth it.

The staff are the hotel’s strongest point: young, helpful people trying to make up for the poor facilities. There’s no phone in the room to call reception, and for two people we got only two large towels and one hand towel. We were missing another towel for after showering and one for the bidet. Breakfast has gotten worse over the years, and the price isn’t good for what you get.

The location was great, and both the price and quality were excellent. Everything was clean, and the reception and breakfast staff were fantastic. 👏👏
