The beds were really comfortable, and the apartment had lots of room. Booking was quick, and it's a very central spot, only 30 meters from San Francisco Church and just around the corner from the plaza. Good price, too.

My parents and I had to find somewhere else to stay in the middle of peak season, which cost us extra money and wasted time. We'd booked this apartment and paid the deposit to the host, Ms. Luz, but when we got to the property at 45 Dean Funes Street, the place was in poor shape. The ground-floor walls were damp and peeling, there was visible mold on the bathroom ceiling, and the Booking.com photos didn't show what we actually found. The street was under construction and completely closed to traffic. Both the sidewalk in front of the building and the one across the street were blocked too. Getting to the apartment meant picking our way through gravel piles, trucks, heavy machinery, and workers. My parents are elderly and have mobility issues, so it was dangerous and stressful for them. At night the street was fully closed, leaving no way in or out. The host had our estimated arrival time from the night before but never told us about the construction. That was unacceptable. When we asked for our deposit back, she refused and said she'd return it only if she managed to rent the apartment again. That didn't seem fair or transparent.

The owner always made us feel at home, and the service was good. I've stayed here two years in a row and would definitely come back. Great location and good price. I highly recommend the place.

We had an excellent three-night stay, with everything we needed for a family getaway in Salta. The location was excellent, and communication with the staff was easy. When our flight issue forced us to change dates, they helped us sort it out.
