The courtyard is gorgeous and catches lots of sun, and there's a lovely lounge and dining area. The kitchen is well stocked with tea, coffee, Yerba, cutlery, and crockery, plus a water machine. I was very happy with my stay. About two days before check in, they sent all the arrival details on WhatsApp, including the door codes, WiFi, available amenities, when they could be reached, and asked if I had any specific needs. There's no front desk. They answered every question quickly, though they don't respond after 10pm and got back to me the next morning. I needed my bus pass printed for the next day, and they kindly had their sister hotel around the corner print it. I could pick it up whenever. They're very helpful and responsive. The place is about a 10 minute walk from the center, close enough to go in but far enough to be peaceful. I highly recommend it and would happily stay again. I walked from the bus terminal in the evening and felt completely safe as a solo traveler. I felt safe in the city too. I only had Sunday to explore before leaving for La Quiaca, but I managed to see the gorgeous basilica and ride the cable cars. Uber is available too for an early or late start to onward travel.

The rooms were okay, but there was no ventilation in the toilet and no bedside lamps. Arriving at night was unsettling: the entrance was dark, with no sign saying it was Casone. You have to touch the door screen in a particular way to wake it up and enter the code, and there was no way I could have known that.

We planned on just one night and ended up extending to 10 days because we felt so at home. The rooms and kitchen were really clean, and the cleaning lady was especially kind and helpful. Everyone was great, from the cleaning staff to the people messaging us on WhatsApp. They really went out of their way to make our stay good. My wife and I loved it.

Ms. Liz was kind and very attentive, and got back to me right away when I had questions. The cleaning staff were welcoming and friendly too. The place matched the website description: a restored mansion with traditional architecture, vintage touches, and modern comforts, with seven private rooms. It's close to the Güemes Monument, with the hills around Salta nearby, and a good base for seeing the city and landscape. We'll come back, thank you!
