Salta Por Siempre

We were glad to return after staying here in 2020. During the off-season, we paid 13000 for a private room and bathroom, and everything was very clean. There's a lovely small garden and two friendly cats. The kitchen is a standard hostel setup, nothing special, but it does the job. Great affordable hostel!

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and having reception open 24 hours was great. The location is a little way from the centre, around a 20-25 minute walk, but that's manageable. For the price, the value seemed fair. The place was pretty much what I expected: quite old, with dated amenities, though my private room and bathroom were clean. My sheets didn't smell fresh, so I can't be completely sure they had been changed. Lots of reviews call it a social hostel, but I didn't meet anyone, and I didn't make much effort to either.

The Saturday BBQ was amazing. There were 30/40 of us having dinner together when I was there, and both the meat and vegetables were so delicious. The vegetarian meal was fantastic too. It's a very sociable place.

The friendly, boho backpacker vibe felt relaxed and unforced, and it's a popular spot for meeting people to form road trips. Saturday's asado was great too. It's a rustic hostel, but that's part of the charm. The staff work hard every day to make you feel at home, and the place is clean and well kept. Rooms are warm and comfortable. I loved staying here.
