Hotel Draghi

The manager’s intolerance spoiled the stay for me. She wouldn’t honor several options she’d previously offered, and when I gently said guests’ needs matter, she accused me of being disrespectful. There seemed to be no room for what guests want. I later came across other reviews describing similar problems. Mornings are extremely noisy, the pool is often dirty, and the unreliable Wi-Fi made it impossible to deal with anything important.

The little pool is good for cooling off, and there’s a fountain making a soft tinkling sound while you relax in the sunny yard. Everything outside is kept beautifully, with a very grand feel to it. The proprietor and her mother made us feel like family. This is a lovely little gem in the old part of San Antonio de Areco, and a light breakfast is included.

We spent the afternoon in the garden because it was so hot when we arrived at the Draghi hotel on a day in March this year. Lucia greeted us warmly, offered suggestions for the day, and we ended up cooling off in the lovely pool instead. Our room was comfortable, with old colonial-style decor. Breakfast came out to us in the garden the next morning, with fresh, wholesome products. I’d definitely return to Draghi Hotel if I’m back in Argentina. It’s a wonderful place for a break from buenos aires. Thank you, Lucia.

Really cozy and so nice. The mom-and-daughter business is a real treat.
