The shopping center is close by, which is the main thing this place has going for it. It covers the basics with a TV, shower, and ceiling fan, but the beds and sheets are old, and the beds are small. There’s only breakfast, no dining room. If you’re coming to spend time at the beach or visit the spectacular San Clemente hot springs, it’s not a great choice for a more discerning guest.

We were happy with our stay, especially since we just needed somewhere clean and affordable to sleep while traveling with the kids. The first-floor rooms were clean, and the ceiling fan helped with the heat. The location is excellent. Breakfast is simple, but it felt fair for the price.

Being right in the center is the one good thing. Our room was a disaster: the key kept sticking, the beds were awful, and the old mattresses felt like sleeping on the floor. There were cockroaches and spiders too. The service and facilities were crap. I won’t come back, and I do not recommend this place.

The cleaning was practically nonexistent, and they never changed the sheets. The beds were old, with thin, worn mattresses that left my ribs aching. The sheets were ugly and the blankets smelled bad, like they’d come out of the trash. I ended up using my own towel to cover myself. It was a nightmare, and they have no shame.

We had a wonderful time. The staff were excellent, friendly, and quick to sort out the cold water problem in the bathtub, doing it with real kindness. The place is good value, open 24 hours, and very well located, two blocks from the beach and one from the pedestrian area.
