The location and staff are very good, but at this price I expected much more. My room had only one bedside table for a double bed, and no nightstand at all. The rooms don’t look like the photos. The towels felt cheap, and the blanket was awful, like something from my dead grandmother. Breakfast was just toast and croissants, without even a piece of fruit.

The room we were first given seemed like it was out of service. The air conditioning wouldn’t start, paint was peeling off the walls, and there were no bedside tables, so reading at night wasn’t possible. The bedding and towels were about 20 years old and very poor quality. Worst of all, the apartment smelled awful, something like smoke or cigarettes. We complained and were moved to another apartment, which didn’t have the problems that would have made our stay unbearable. For a place charging 120,000 pesos a night, breakfast should be much better. The commercial citrus juice, dulce de leche, and butter were adequate, since those are hard to get wrong. The rest was very poor: subjectively bad croissants, subjectively mediocre sliced white bread, Bonafide coffee that was probably burnt that day, cereal, and yogurt. It’s not enough for that price. Adding fruit, scrambled eggs, ham, and cheese wouldn’t take much, and would make breakfast more in line with the rate. There aren’t any double beds, just two single beds pushed together. They also didn’t give us a discount on the rate, and apparently that option doesn’t exist. Paying cash meant the hotel saved on credit card fees and other administrative costs, which led to a different price. Besides, the rooms would have been empty even during Carnival.

The pool is nice, though it loses the sun by 5 pm. It’s a pleasant, very quiet place, and every receptionist was friendly. Breakfast is a little basic, but I understand it’s enough for the number of guests they get. I recommend it!
