Cabañas Las Pampas

The hosts gave great service, and the beds were really comfortable. It’s close to the town center and well equipped with quality items.

They really went out of their way to help us and found us a place to stay!

We stayed at Las Pampas from December 1st to 10th, 2025, and this visit was a tough one. The staff, Mrs. Rayen, Mrs. Rocio, and Mrs. Mirta, were kind, but until Mrs. Mirta came back, the cleaning was a disaster. Towels were either forgotten or left in excess, and the dry breakfast wasn’t replenished. On the final day, the whole complex lost power. The manager was very rude and blamed the storm, which I don’t believe, haha, since the rest of San Martin had electricity. It seemed to me they hadn’t paid the bill. There was no hot water on the first morning, though someone came to fix it. After the stay, we returned to Mat del Plata hoping for at least an apology from someone who clearly doesn’t know how to treat guests. It’s a shame, because our earlier stays, including the last one in 2023, were excellent.

The parking is awkward, and cars left on the sidewalk block the road. The bright outdoor lighting at night also felt excessive, as if it was there for marketing rather than for guests. Those issues kept this from being five stars. Cabin 2 is spacious and works well for four. The bedrooms are well equipped, there are two bathrooms, and the upstairs one is a large full bathroom with a dressing area. Downstairs is a half-bath. The kitchen is complete, heating works very well in every room with a boiler, and the hot water is good. There’s a tiny patio, though it’s a shame there’s no clothesline. The women managing the place were attentive and helpful, and the cleaning staff were good too. The view, though, is poor.
