Miradores Del Lanin

The cabins were thoughtfully laid out, nicely decorated, and well equipped. Eduardo and Miriam looked after us so well, helping with everything we needed and then some. It's a great place to stay in any season, and we'll definitely return.

It took me a while to write this. The inn itself is fantastic, all wood, with breathtaking views and a spectacular mountain setting. Mrs. Mari and her partner, who are actually there, were wonderful: friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. My issue was with the person who handled my reservation but isn't at the hotel. I asked several times whether the road was okay for a small car, and they kept saying it was. It isn't. We'd never been to San Martín and wanted to explore as much as we could. We knew the hotel was about 25 km from San Martín and that 8 of those 25 km were gravel. Nobody mentioned that the final 3 km are practically impassable in a small car, at least if you care about your vehicle. The road is awful, uphill, and full of jagged edges. 4x4s pass at full speed on a road where you can't go faster than 5-10 km/h. That omission ruined our vacation. We had to choose between looking after the car and going out to explore. There's basically NOTHING else around the hotel for 10 km, apart from one nice restaurant. If you have a 4x4, go without hesitation. With a small car that you care about even a little, don't go, whatever anyone tells you.

The cabin is cozy and warm, with fantastic beds for a good night's rest and a great view. It's 27km from San Martin and 3km from Chapelco mountain, where there are trekking routes and hikes. The drive there is quite good, though a bit winding. One thing to know is that the terraces look bigger in the photos than they are.

I stayed in February 2021 and had a great time. The views are a 10/10, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The cabins are really comfortable and have everything you need. I'll definitely be back many times!
