The breakfast was the best we had in Argentina, and the service was great. We had a perfect stay at El Arbol Duende. The room was very good, with a comfortable bed and bathroom.

The winter garden and back patio were the nicest spots, both kept in great shape and very inviting. Breakfast was another highlight, with plenty of good quality food. This is a pleasant inn with a welcoming feel. The furniture and equipment are dated, though they add character. There’s no mini-fridge in the room, and ventilation is only adequate, which can be uncomfortable in the hottest summer weather. The mattress was too soft for me and gave me back pain. The price felt a little high next to places like Bariloche, though San Martín de los Andes is known for inflated prices.
