Hotel San Nicolás

The staff gave excellent service, and the place was clean and comfortable. It also felt very welcoming for families.

This is a budget place, as I said, and there’s plenty that could be better. The rooms are very small, the bathroom is tiny, and the bidet kept leaking. The beds and mattresses are poor quality. We never got breakfast because we had to leave very early. One woman said she’d tell them to prepare hot water and toast, but it never happened. Service is limited: she was a little more pleasant, while the two men offered practically no service. It was cold on the day we arrived, and we had to ask them to turn on the heat. We had to come back for work, and nothing had changed. I don’t like staying here, but I’m not the one paying. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff are excellent, especially the wonderful woman working in the afternoon. The covered parking and breakfast are good for the low price, and with some maintenance I’d give the place five stars. The service is excellent, but the rooms need renovation. The mattress is worn out, and two of us could barely fit in the bed. The wall is crumbling, the air conditioner started rattling in the middle of the night and had to be switched off, and the ceiling fan is terrifying. I couldn’t fit through the bathroom door because it catches on the toilet. The bathroom is in poor condition and there’s no hairdryer.
