Family Inn

I loved it, honestly I'd live there. I felt right at home, and the facilities were lovely. The beds were comfortable, there's air conditioning, and I visited in winter about two weeks ago, which was a real treat. The shower was the best, and there's plenty of space to put away the clothes we brought in our luggage. There's cable TV too, plus a beautiful patio where you can sit and look at the sky. The service was excellent, and the waiters were great. I was really happy with it, loved the place.

The rooms have plenty of space and are clean, with very comfortable beds. There's cable TV, a small fridge, a dining table, and air conditioning and heating. In summer, you can use the two pools and the shared dining area. The one drawback is how far it is from the center of San Rafael.

Internet was painfully slow, and the breakfast? Do I even need to say more? This was a terrible hotel and I would NEVER recommend it. When we were there on Sunday, the service was rude and nobody explained anything. Finding our room was a whole maze and mystery. There weren't any other guests, just us. The pool was empty and dirty, and the lawn was neglected. My car was the only one in the parking lot, but they still came and asked me to move it somewhere else. What a joke. The air conditioner in the room seemed ancient and made a racket. The bath towels were old and worn to the point of losing their color, and the blankets, well... the mattresses! Ugh. The Google and website photos must be old, to dress up the place for online sales.

The breakfast was good, and the rooms were nice and well kept, even if a few years old. It was good value for money. We did have an issue with the room door not closing right. After the first cleaning, housekeeping left it unlocked, so we didn't leave the key in the lock for the rest of our stay, just in case. As a result, there was no room service on three of our four nights. Nobody checked in or offered us a different room. This really needs significant improvement.
