Hostel Rogupani

The owners were very attentive, and we had a great time. Our place was set up like an apartment with bunk beds, air conditioning, a small kitchen, and a fridge. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, near the bus terminal. It was a very good stay.

Run by a very friendly family, this is a clean, simple and pleasant place for a short stay. It’s near the bus terminal and several restaurants. There’s a small patio that’s great for a beer, and you can buy one there too. The showers are good.

The location and price were good, but staying there was unpleasant. The ceiling was black with damp mold, and the place was filthy. One broken cup had been put back together as if it were fine, and another had coffee grounds in it. I was glad I’d brought insecticide because I killed all sorts of insects. They gave us sheets to hang our clothes to dry, and I had to ask for towels and pay extra, which hadn’t been mentioned beforehand. We also had to walk through a courtyard full of garbage and piles of things.

I’ve lived in hostels for five years and never had this happen before. After checkout time, I made myself a coffee at 10 am, having already taken all my belongings out of the room. They charged me 50% of the nightly rate, so I left at 11 am having paid for half a day’s accommodation. Absurd. The place looks like a hostel, but has no hostel atmosphere and doesn’t function like one. I wouldn’t recommend it or stay again.
