Alto Belgrano

The apartment is comfortable and well located. During the school year, kids playing in the yard can be a little annoying, though it isn't an issue on weekends or during vacation.

The owner was attentive and helpful, and apart from a few things, our stay was fine. The apartment was great, one block from the plaza and two from the main street. It was noisy early in the morning because they're building an extension to the hospital next door. The washing machine didn't work, which we only learned once we'd arrived. I had also booked a different apartment, but they changed it while I was already on my way.

I never got to go because social events in Argentina led to road closures. From booking through the cancellation, though, the staff's service was impeccable. I booked with Booking.com, then contacted them when the roads closed, and they agreed not to charge me a cancellation fee. That courtesy says a lot about the owners. Thank you so much!

The only letdown was the advertised free breakfast. It was just the basics, with no fresh milk, bread, or hot chocolate, though they did leave muffins and fresh water. I loved how clean and beautiful the apartment was, and how much care the owners put into small things other places might miss. The plants and drinks in the fridge were lovely touches, and the washing machine was a big plus. There's lots of natural light, several TVs, and air conditioners that cool the place in seconds. The bathroom and kitchen are both beautiful and comfortable, and I was impressed by every detail. The mattresses are incredibly comfortable, with plenty of pillows and blankets. They even had Fuji mosquito repellents, which brought back good memories, haha. There were beautiful ceramic dishes and playing cards too, plus one last thoughtful gesture from the owner that I'm very grateful for. I'd definitely come back. Thank you!
