Hotel Avenida

The location is excellent, and the mattress is new, but the rooms are very small. There's nowhere in the bathroom to set your toiletries. The kitchen staff are friendly, yet cleanliness is the biggest problem. You have to ask before anyone cleans the room, the carpet never gets vacuumed and is disgusting, and even the breakfast cups aren't clean.

Breakfast is just toast, and cheese or jam costs extra. The hotel itself felt creepy, with ugly stains on the carpet and such a gloomy atmosphere that it gave me a real panic attack.

What a regret. I made a reservation and went to see the place, and it was one of the worst hotels I've ever seen. It smelled old and musty, looked completely neglected, and the sheets were stained. Totally unacceptable. The location is good, close to the center, and the receptionist was the only redeeming part. He probably knew what he was doing, since he told me to look at the room first. They don't accept transfers, luckily. I wouldn't even spend a night there, mate.

The rooms feel a bit rustic and could be cleaner, and breakfast doesn't offer much variety, though it's adequate. There's a lovely bar and restaurant, but the hotel's main advantage is its excellent location.
