The internet kept cutting out on the first floor and even in the lobby, and the elevator didn’t go up to the first floor, which was inconvenient. The property wasn’t dirty, but it felt neglected and could use fresh paint. At breakfast, other guests were offered cappuccinos and we weren’t, which felt exclusionary. We were also woken at 6:15 a.m. by an unexplained call from reception. Our first room smelled strongly of feces, so I asked to move. From arrival, the staff had been unfriendly. It was a very unsatisfying stay.

There’s parking about half a block away, and breakfast was okay. The room was relatively clean, but quite dated, with old beds and a shower that wasn’t very good.

I paid just under $20 for a room to myself. It was quiet and felt safe, with free hotel parking on the next block. The downstairs dining area was a good spot to work. Thanks!
