Hotel Solano

It was okay.

The location is good, and there's parking across the street, though it isn't part of the hotel. Given the price and location, it's an option, but the place needs maintenance, especially the air conditioners. I was traveling alone, and even though the hotel was empty, they put me in the last room on the ground floor. I had to carry my bags all the way from the parking lot along the corridor. It was dark, with two single beds and a window facing a shaft. They could have given me a much better room, but didn't, out of sheer stinginess. The next morning I saw the rooms were empty and that I could have stayed on the first floor, where there's a double bed and more light.

The location was the only thing I can't complain about. The stay was a letdown. The room was extremely basic all around, from the beds and furniture to the wardrobe. We asked for a double bed but got two singles. Water from the air conditioning drain leaked into the room and soaked everything on the floor. Even the picture on the wall was crooked. In the bathroom, the plastic shower curtain fell down when wet and the room flooded too. The hotel's solution was to leave a squeegee and cloth for guests to dry it themselves. There was even a toilet plunger in the bathroom, just in case. Breakfast was very basic, with little variety in food or fruit. I don't recommend it!

There was plenty of room in the bedroom, but the bathroom was dirty and the shower was badly clogged. The water was cold and barely came out. It also left the whole area soaked whenever we showered. Breakfast was missing a lot, with very few choices.
