Hostel La Cumbre

The price is one of the lowest around, and the location is good. The bathrooms were quite good, too. The kitchen, though, was very dirty. We’d been told we could use it, but once we arrived, they asked us to try not to use it as a matter of protocol. I’d say this is a hostel for a short stay.

For what you get, it’s one of the best prices in all of Tafí. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is clean and well equipped. There’s a lovely terrace for having mate, and the staff are really friendly.

I slept well and found the place comfortable, so it isn’t bad overall. The bathrooms are very small and uncomfortable, though, and could be made more suitable. The woman on the morning shift could be friendlier. Daniel, one of the managers, was very kind and helpful, and clearly knows his job.

They charge as if it were a four-star hotel, but the room was run-down and smelled like rats. The sheets were dirty, and the pillows should be thrown out. The bathroom was tiny, old, and cold. Only one of the two sinks worked, and the shower was beyond words. They really need a food safety inspection!!!!! HORRIBLE!!!
