Piedras Del Lago

We stayed for one night, from Sunday, February 15th to Monday, February 16th. The location worked really well, two blocks from the dam, one from a main avenue, and only two or three blocks from bars. Parking is available, and the reception staff were excellent. We had the cheapest room, which was large and came with air conditioning and a mini-fridge. The mattress was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious, with a separate vanity area and a bathtub. The room was very clean. The towels, however, were quite old and had some tears. It wasn't a huge problem, but it did take away from the experience. Breakfast was adequate: croissants, two yogurts, some cereal, apples, coffee and tea, ham and cheese, and pre-toasted lemon bread instead of sliced white bread. I didn't care for the bread, or the powdered milk. The hot water was only lukewarm. The power had been out for about three hours the previous afternoon, but the water was still lukewarm that night, five hours after power came back, and the next morning. That's why I gave the service a 3.

The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good hot water. Breakfast was basic but did the job. The location was excellent, and the staff were attentive and friendly, especially José Luis and Ale. I'd definitely stay again.

It wasn't what I expected from the social media advertising when I booked. The minibar didn't work, even after they swapped it for another broken one. The bathroom flooded, one handrail was rusty, and the hand towels were worn bath towels cut into pieces. The TV was small, and breakfast came with powdered milk. There were only three parking spaces for the whole hotel, otherwise you had to use street parking.

We slept really well, and the hotel was lovely, comfortable, and clean. Breakfast was wonderful. Mariano made the stay even better. He was friendly and helpful, and gave me suggestions for things to do in Tandil, dinner spots, and places to buy cheeses and salamis. I hope they give him a raise, he deserves it!
