Hotel Siglo Sexto

The pool could use some attention: the floor was a little dirty, there were bugs, and the lights weren’t on at night, so using it then was limited. The rest of our stay was good. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and we slept well. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which mattered in that weather. The location made getting around easy, and I thought the price was worth it. I’d recommend the hotel, with a few improvements to the pool area.

The terrace was lovely for drinks from the bar, or for bringing your own mate to enjoy with family. This beautiful three-star hotel also has a rooftop thermal pool. The staff were attentive to everything we needed, and the price seemed very reasonable. There’s a parking lot around the block, and they let us bring our pet. The bathroom was huge and had a built-in hairdryer. Couldn’t have asked for better.

BEWARE!! I booked through Airbnb at $15 for two guests, but on arrival they charged another $17, saying I’d paid for only one person. The owner wouldn’t help and said the listing was wrong. Airbnb was fantastic and sorted it out. The room also had serious maintenance problems: loose shower faucets and a musty smell. The garage was run down, uncovered, and had no security. The hotel really needs maintenance!!

The terrace pool is really nice, and it’s the only good thing I found here. The location is pretty bad, and the bathtub gets so little water that it’s impossible to bathe in.
