Such a lovely old place, but it's very worn out. We only got one towel, and even after asking for another, they didn't give us one. I think it needs a bit of TLC.

Hotel Posada de 1860 has a lot of character. It's a family owned and managed older hotel with lovely architecture and history. We had no building problems, and the air conditioning and everything else worked well. Javier gave us excellent service, was very friendly, and was happy to help with anything we needed. The train station is a five minute walk away, with markets, restaurants, and shops all within walking distance. Breakfast is served on a balcony among flowers and trees, a really peaceful spot. There are pastries, fresh fruit, jelly, café, tea, and juice. There's gated private parking, plus a garden patio where you can relax and enjoy the area. Our room had two full size beds, a large TV, an armoire, a stand-up shower with no bathtub, and a private toilet. It was painted bright yellow, green, and white. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Really beautiful place, and the price was good too. The staff were especially friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it.

The room smelled musty, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, and the shower overflowed because the drain was clogged. The shutters wouldn't close because their latches were stuck. The house could make a lovely boutique hotel, but it feels neglected. Paint is peeling, repairs are visible, and things are in disarray, like the work was done half-heartedly. Breakfast was meager and poorly served, with old leftovers, dirty dishes, and missing cutlery. The man who welcomed us, set up breakfast, and saw us off was very unhelpful.

It was an okay stay for the price. The location is excellent for visiting Tigre, and the room was spacious, with clean sheets, a fan, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and TV. But it's an old building, so there are some downsides. Breakfast was poor, the veranda tables weren't hygienic, and cats were sitting in the guest areas.
