Hotel Norte Rupestre

We couldn't sleep because of all the dust and mites. The room was filthy, covered in dust, with mold on the walls, holed, dirty sheets, and insects in the blankets. The receptionist said it hadn't been cleaned for three weeks before we arrived. The bathroom was disgusting too, full of mold. The toilet kept clogging and we had to clear it ourselves. The sink was loose, and water leaked underneath when we turned on the tap because the drain was leaking. When we asked for the room to be swept, the receptionist just handed us a broom, so we had to clean up ourselves just to sleep there. We asked to speak to the owner on arrival because we wanted a refund and somewhere else to stay. We tried contacting him repeatedly. He initially promised a refund, then stopped responding and wouldn't take responsibility for the poor service. This was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. The owner was disrespectful and irresponsible, and the service didn't match reality. Maybe you don't know what condition the place is in, but this establishment is a complete rip-off. Our time in Tilcara was marred by the terrible service at this accommodation.

The breakfast was just two slices of bread and a tiny bit of butter, and it took half an hour to arrive even though we were the only guests. The staff were unfriendly, unkind, and unresponsive. The room was filthy and dusty, with dirty sheets that hadn't been changed between guests and were nearly threadbare. The tap on the sink wouldn't turn off, the shower was repulsive, and the curtains gave no privacy. Anyone giving this hotel five stars either knows the owners or needs to seriously rethink their standards of cleanliness.

The staff were very attentive, and the wifi and water were good. But the room wasn't clean at all, and it was basic with poor construction. Breakfast was one piece of toast, some water crackers, cream cheese, jam, an infusion of your choice, and orange juice. On the first day they gave us soap, shampoo, and cream, but none were replenished, and our towels weren't changed during the five days.

It's a very simple place, but the service was good. Breakfast was brought to our table in a portion set by them, and it was enough for us. You can leave your car parked on the streets next to the hotel.
