We liked it enough to change our plans and return for a couple more nights. The rooms are basic, but clean, comfortable, and everything worked. There are lots of outdoor places to sit in the evening with local wine and olive oil, plus a barbecue area, shared kitchen, and summer pool. There’s plenty to explore a short drive away. Book direct for a better rate, stay a few nights, and enjoy the homemade breakfast. You can ask for other meals too, and Ivan has good advice about what to see nearby. Highly recommended!

A simple rural stay, but a great experience. The host was nice.

The place needs some upkeep.

I planned a shorter stay, but the peaceful setting was so relaxing that I stayed longer. After months traveling around Argentina, this was one of the best places I’d stayed: a tidy, clean room with a big bed and private bathroom. There’s a kitchen guests can use, and the restaurant serves meals. What I tried was delicious, made with their own ingredients and products. Iván, the owner, was always attentive. Tinogasta is a 10-minute drive away.

The owner of the cabins put together an itinerary for us, which helped us fit in a lot. We visited Fiambalá and went to the hot springs in the afternoon. You need to buy tickets that same day, and the views were spectacular. We stopped at some dunes on the way for photos, and Tinogasta also has several hot springs and places to see. We drove the Route of the Six Thousanders all the way to the Las Cortaderas Hotel. The scenery was incomparable. Make sure your tank is full. We didn’t make it to El Peñón, about another three hours from Tinogasta, and you’d ideally need at least one night there to do more than one excursion. In Tinogasta, I think there was an economical supermarket, though I can’t remember its name, and there are lots of pharmacies. We went in April. The resort was beautiful, the pool divine, and breakfast was the best!
