The worst part was how the hot water problem was handled. My partner, our young daughter, and I came for two nights hoping for a peaceful weekend with walks, time to relax, and a chance to disconnect with the other families there. Instead, we couldn't count on hot water from the moment we arrived. We called the caretaker, who turned the water heater on, but the water would stop again after a while. Each time we needed it, we had to call him. We ended up stuck in the cabin while he kept trying to fix it. They only offered us another cabin the night before checkout, so we'd have had to pack everything up just to leave at 11 the next morning. The owner called it an unfortunate accident, but it felt like negligence and a lack of empathy. All he said was “I'm sorry,” with no compensation. He ruined our weekend, and we were constantly dealing with the caretaker. He even banged on our door while we were trying to nap. When I raised all this, the owner's answer was that they weren't a 5-star hotel and that I'd paid for the cheapest cabin, so it was unfortunate I'd been inconvenienced. Then he blocked me on WhatsApp. We never haggled and paid the price the owners quoted, so hot water in the cabin was the least we expected. They also didn't give us a receipt. You don't have to be a 5-star hotel to take criticism or be courteous, and being a cheap, run-down hotel wouldn't excuse that kind of rude response either. There were plenty of other problems. The grill in the cabin where friends were staying was tilted and unusable. It rained, and the kids' hammock was moving, so we couldn't use it. The bidet was crooked and detached from the floor, and we almost fell. The refrigerator wasn't cooling, and the sink faucet leaked everywhere. I could keep listing things. We might have let those issues slide if the hot water problem hadn't been handled so poorly. This place is NOT RECOMMENDED, and the owners are rude. I hope nobody else has to go through this.
