The place shows its age, and breakfast and the “lounge” were a bit disappointing. Still, I can see how amazing this hotel must have been, and the accommodations and amenities are incredible for such a low price. I played basketball on the rooftop court, used the steam room, sauna, hot tub, outdoor pool with a waterfall, gym, and more. The staff were very, very nice and eager to help. Just the nicest people. I was really impressed.

The staff were friendly and always ready to help, and parking was very convenient. We had a great stay at Sheraton Tucumán. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable, with Parque 9 de Julio right across the way, adding a pleasant stretch of greenery and open space. The restaurant is excellent, and breakfast is generous, with local specialties too. The gym, heated pool, and swimming pool round out a comfortable, relaxing stay.

It’s one of the nicer hotels around, but I was caught off guard by the laundry bill. I asked where I could wash my clothes, and they told me to leave them in the room. They washed them, then charged me about 255,000 pesos, or $200 usd, without mentioning the price beforehand. When I asked about it, they said the rates were clearly listed in each room. Technically, they were, if you knew the service cost money and thought to search the dark closet for the fine print.

It’s not a bad hotel, just showing its age, and I’m not sure how it qualifies as five star. They also only allow cash tips, not tips by card. It’s one of the only places in AR where I’ve seen that.

The room felt dated, and the little fridge didn’t cool anything. The toilet seat was loose on the floor. They left a complimentary bottle of water on the counter. A lot of places offer a selection of drinks now, but with a fridge like that, I get it.
