I stayed in one of the smaller rooms, not the suite. It was clean and pleasant, and the host was very friendly and speaks English. He also offers a reasonably priced “taxi” service, which is handy for visiting different natural sights. The heating worked well in winter. The shower wasn’t fancy, but it was perfectly adequate for an apartment at this low price. The house sits on a hill in a quiet neighborhood, outside the city itself. The nearest supermarket in Ushuaia is 1.5 km away.

My son and I spent three nights sharing a room here. It’s clean and quiet, close to town but tucked into the forest with a view. The owner was very kind and helpful. He spoke Spanish slowly so we could follow, then switched to fluent English when needed. The service was excellent, including rides to and from the airport.

The junior suite was spacious and had a nice outlook. Breakfast was homemade, generous, and really cute. Javier was a wonderful host, with good hiking suggestions and transport available for a small fee.
