Fueguino Hotel

The staff were so friendly that the downsides didn't bother me much, and I'd still recommend staying here. A room facing the bay has an excellent, unobstructed view, and the location is great. The walls are thin, though. At night you can hear people walking past your room and other hallway noises. Breakfast was disappointing, even if the pastries were excellent. Those are the reasons I'd give it four stars instead of five.

The location is good, and the reception staff were accommodating. I also had a good massage, and they gave us coffee and cakes as a complimentary treat. But there were a lot of problems: the rooms are small and need renovation, and management was so-so. An employee entered our room twice without knocking or warning, and cleaning was missed one day.

Most rooms have lovely views over the Beagle channel, and breakfast is included. There's also an in-house restaurant and bar with great food. The hotel is only a block from Ushuaia's main shopping street, making it a great place to stay.

The breakfast included fresh food and good coffee, and was quite decent. The beds were nice, the bathroom was huge, and the shower was warm, powerful, and a good size. WiFi was fast and free. But bugs were coming out of the padded headboard. My wife and I had to pull the bed away from the wall because they were falling on us. Without that, this would've been a solid 4/5 stay.
