Hostel Los Cormoranes

The kitchen was well equipped, breakfast was filling and really good, and the rooms were warm with comfortable beds and hot water at any hour. We spent a week there, and the atmosphere felt especially warm in cold Ushuaia. Gustavo was amazing and would help with absolutely anything, at any hour. If you're going to Ushuaia, you should stay at this hostel, and say hello to Gustavo from us.

There's a great view, and the place is still walkable to the harbor and other spots, even though it's away from the main tourist area. It's hostel style, but private rooms with private bathrooms are available. The municipal water supply caused problems at times.

We spent two nights in a room for two. The hostel has a nice atmosphere, the staff are helpful, and it was quite clean. The bathroom tap was leaking, though. It's also possible to find somewhere a little cheaper farther away. One thing I didn't like was having to step outside briefly to get from our bedroom to the kitchen and other rooms. That wasn't pleasant when it rained.

The community kitchen was a great place to meet people, share food, learn languages, and hear about Patagonia. Our private double room had a spectacular view. Hugo, Gustavo, and the ladies were funny and helped us with whatever we needed. The hostel is right by the D bus line, too. If you have a Sube, download iBondi :)
