Our first trip to Ushuaia was last week, and staying at Tierra de Leyendas Hotel made it a really special visit. After the long journey, Sebastian welcomed us so warmly, offered us a glass of wine, and shared suggestions for making the most of our time. The place is charming, tastefully furnished, sparkling clean, and full of little details about the city and Sebastian’s family. We had a wonderful dinner there on the first night. Sebastian is a great chef, and the full breakfasts were a perfect start to each day. For our early penguin walking excursion on the second day, he kindly left out bread and coffee before we headed off. There’s a grocery store and a boutique deli down the street with excellent sandwiches and a good wine selection. The downtown area is only minutes away by Uber, and getting there was always quick and easy. What I’ll remember most is the peaceful setting away from the busy center, and how it felt like visiting old friends. Sebastian was never intrusive, but was always there to greet us politely and check if we needed anything. Ushuaia is magical, and this hotel is a little slice of heaven. We’ll never forget the trip. The welcoming, helpful host and staff made us feel right at home at Tierra de Leyendas hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a wonderful view over the channel and mountains. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, the hot tub had a perfect view, and dinner made by Sebastian was amazing. We’d definitely recommend it and would come back. We also really liked the focus on sustainability.

We liked being close to the park entrance and away from downtown. We rented a car for the park, though Uber was easy and inexpensive for getting downtown and to other areas. The mountains and bay are visible from most places inside and outside the house. From our welcome at check-in through checkout, Tierra de Leyendas exceeded my expectations. The house, food, and service were amazing, and our stay in Ushuaia was unforgettable. I hope to return.
