Complejo Los Cipreses

The staff were all lovely and gave us ideas for things to do on a rainy day. We tried their suggestions and really enjoyed them. My daughter had an amazing time in the pools and on the slide, and the bar prices were very reasonable. We also loved the cabins, which were comfortable and well equipped, plus the spa, heated pool, and massages by the pool. The scenery makes it all even nicer. It’s a great place for a family, and we’ll definitely come back.

The pools could use someone keeping an eye on them. Some families don’t follow the posted rules, and I think guests staying at the complex should get priority over day visitors. A lifeguard would help keep things under better control. Also, an original AFA ball we left in the table area went missing. We went for many days and had a great time, though. Silvia is the best part of the complex, and the other woman there was great too, sorry I can’t remember her name. The location and view are gorgeous. These are just a few things to improve. The place has a lovely, peaceful view, and the outdoor pools were cold but still pleasant. The heated pool was another story. It felt boiling hot, and I only managed about five minutes of the session I’d paid for. They said the temperature couldn’t be lowered and that it had always been that way. Food was very expensive, and there weren’t any waiters. The receptionist was okay. She kept talking about the rain, and if she hadn’t brought up the weather I wouldn’t have picked the hydrotherapy circuit, which was practically boiling. She wanted us to go eat while waiting, but we were keen to start with a pool. I didn’t love that attitude. I’d recommend it, but with limits! :)

The cabin water came out brown, so it was hard to tell if I was washing or just getting dirtier. The window in cabin 14 wouldn’t close. The truck had nearly half a tank of gas, but parking meant backing out at a 40-degree angle because there weren’t enough spaces. It happened that the fuel pump was sucking air. The deck has lots of broken boards hidden under the artificial turf, and two of the four wooden loungers were completely un-nailed, so I couldn’t move them. Of the three plastic loungers, one was cracked. Some of the plastic chairs are old and dangerous. The pool was moldy and hadn’t been cleaned. There was no staff around, and they hadn’t given me gate access to leave, so I had to contact them on WhatsApp. Sometimes the sewage-like rotten water smell was so strong we had to keep moving. About my children, I think it’s in poor taste to bring them up. This is a review of the place, not the people, and they don’t seem to know the difference. A very bad experience for me.
