Hotel Mundial

Excelent hotel ♡

My wife and I stayed here around three summers ago, before I knew how to write reviews. It was a dreadful few days. In mid-January there wasn't a room available anywhere else in Merlo, so we tried to leave but had to put up with it until we could continue our trip to Los Reartes, Córdoba. The staff and the manager, or maybe owner, were rude and disrespectful. When we arrived on a Sunday, the roller blind was broken. We asked them to fix it, but he snapped that it was Sunday and nothing could be done. It was never repaired, so the blind stayed almost all the way up day and night. Then the toilet tank float broke on day two, and I ended up dealing with it myself because nobody came. The bathroom door wouldn't shut and kept swinging open because its hinge was coming loose. We had to wedge it with the handle of a hairdryer. I can't believe a place like this exists. We had an awful experience.

The reservation was confirmed through Booking.com, but just days before the long Easter weekend, when everything was booked up, they called and asked me to cancel. They said things weren't supposed to be arranged that way and wanted me to pay a $90 penalty. I contacted the platform, explained that it wasn't my fault, and managed to cancel without paying. Their booking process was a disaster, and I hope they were penalized for the hassle.

We stopped for one night on the way to Mina Clavero. The stay was very comfortable, and breakfast was really good.
