Jorge was fantastic, always ready to help and in a great mood. The complex is also very close to the center, and there’s lots to do: tennis, soccer, paddle tennis, volleyball, basketball, and some really nice pools. The grounds are spacious, the cabins are pretty, well kept, and set apart from one another. There’s a barbecue area as well as grills at the cabins. It’s a great setup for families with kids, but comfort needs work. The mattresses and pillows weren’t comfortable, and the bedrooms have no fan or air conditioning. There’s only one unit in the living room, which doesn’t help much when the doors are shut. Cleaning happens every other day. Breakfast isn’t included, and paying almost 10,000 pesos per person for it seems very expensive for what you get. The paddle tennis rackets are in poor shape, so bring your own, and all the nets are worn out. The heated pool swung between freezing and unbearably hot, with no comfortable middle temperature. There are other issues too. With more investment in some of these things, this could be a 10, but for now I’d rate it a 5 or 6. Thanks to Jorge for everything, though it shouldn’t all depend on him. Someone should be on duty on both shifts.

The service was excellent, and the property itself is beautiful. But the cabin we booked, La Claridad, wasn’t worth what we paid. Its curtains, upholstery, and mattresses all had problems that shouldn’t have been there. Everything else was perfect.

The park, birds, and peaceful atmosphere made it easy to switch off from city life. We stayed for seven days as two couples, and everything was just right: the service, the cleanliness, the location near the center, and the heated pool. I’d been looking for wooden cabins and was glad to find one we loved. It had distinctive architecture, was well equipped and comfortable, and had two double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Highly recommended.

The photos don’t show how much the scenery, architecture, and nature stand out once you’re actually here. It’s a 10/10, everyone! I can’t wait to come back. If you want a vacation you’ll remember, don’t miss Aufenthalt. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

The owner is very much a money-minded businessman. He changes the reservation amount from pesos to dollars depending on what suits him on the day you arrive. He also told us over the phone that we could invite some friends to the quincho at no charge, without access to the other facilities, then tried to charge us an extra US$40 per person. A total merchant!
