Get Hotel Molvento, AKEN SOUL Collection

The architecture is impressive and the setting is beautiful, with an extremely friendly front desk team. We also found the restaurant a good option and the service satisfactory. It did get a little noisy when the staff chatted among themselves, though. A quieter volume would make things more pleasant for guests.

We had a fantastic stay and loved the views from our suite and around the hotel. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Two sweet dogs, Roco and Cuca, became our daily walking guides, and we appreciate the hotel staff taking care of them. Highly recommend!!

A lovely place to unwind and get some rest!

The setting is gorgeous, right by the lake and surrounded by pine trees, and the facilities look inviting. But our stay from Saturday, February 21st to Monday, February 23rd was a letdown. The bathroom had a serious leak, so using the toilet meant getting wet, and nobody repaired it or even got in touch about it. The room wasn't cheap, leak or not. Reception later explained that permits are only provided if you ask or put a sign on the door, but we had no sign. We liked the outdoor pool, though there weren't enough umbrellas for all the loungers and the changing rooms were really dirty. The restaurant requires reservations, something we weren't told beforehand. It also serves people from outside the hotel, so hotel guests don't get priority. We ended up eating on the veranda in heavy rain, despite it leaking all over and not even being suited to a light drizzle. The restaurant is tiny for the number of seats, the menu is limited, and the prices don't feel justified, although the food itself was decent. Breakfast was pretty poor too. With around 60 or 70 people there was just one coffee pot, which kept needing a refill, and only two toasters, along with too little food. I hate to think what it must be like in peak season. Most of the staff seemed inattentive, almost as if we were bothering them. The woman I took to be in charge of the rest of the restaurant was especially frustrating, saying "NO" before even offering to see if she could sort anything out. The one exception was the guy at the pool bar, who treated us warmly and did a great job. It's a beautiful place, but I wouldn't recommend it. We spent over a million pesos for two nights and got far less than we expected. I'd choose Pueblo Nativo a thousand times over. We won't be back.
