Cabañas La Loma

Really great.

The place is lovely, and Mr. Juan, one of the owners, is very kind. But there was a gas leak in our room when we arrived, which was dangerous. They accept dogs, yet the breakfast employee practically told us to take ours outside. The owners should reconsider that employee’s behavior.

We had an amazing time, and I’ve discovered La Cumbre and La Loma. I’ll be back again and again! The hosts made the stay such a treat, and everyone who works there was lovely. Breakfast was a delight, with thoughtful touches everywhere. The rooms are each like small apartments, with a minibar, kitchenette, and everything you need. There’s a table and chairs by a window with panoramic mountain views, plus air conditioning, a TV, and bathrooms stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, bath towels, and a hair dryer. The heated pool and spa also look out over the mountains, with a sauna, massage room, facial room, and jacuzzi. There’s plenty to do in the games room: ping-pong, pool, foosball, Jenga, and the traditional Colombian game called “Sapo.” You can bring bikes and ride a few kilometers, or go trekking to the San Jerónimo Dam and the Monkey Reserve. In town, there are several excellent gourmet restaurants as well as more casual places to eat. The views are spectacular. Go, I’m sure you’ll want to come back!

We came to Punta de Piedra for 31/12, then decided to stay at La Loma in the Junquillo suite through 1/1. We felt right at home there, really comfortable and relaxed. The view is beautiful, the staff are very kind, and the other guests were amazing and so much fun. Thanks for helping us start the year in the best way. You exceeded our expectations.
