Being close to the huge Laxenburg park was a lovely extra, especially if you've already seen plenty of Vienna and fancy somewhere different. Parking was easy even when we arrived late, since there's a separate lot behind the hotel. The owners welcomed us warmly and stayed easy to reach throughout our visit. Breakfast had loads of local produce, and the hotel itself was very nice with what we needed for a comfortable stay.

We were quite happy with the place. Breakfast is worth adding, with eggs cooked fresh when you ask and an espresso machine.

We only used it as a stopover, though Achau has train and bus links into the city, so it could work for exploring Wien and nearby areas too. Laxenburg Castle is very close. The pension is in a peaceful neighborhood, with spacious rooms, and the owners make a really tasty wine from their own vineyard. A remarkably quiet, comfortable spot.

The room was really large, but in summer there was only a little fan and no air conditioning. I paid for breakfast, but it wasn't good, just coffee and orange juice.

Breakfast was great, there was plenty available to eat, and the garden was beautiful. The rooms were great too, though there was no air conditioning unit.
