The cross-country ski trails start practically at the door, and the centers in Pertisau and Steinberg am Rofan are easy to reach by car or bus. We loved our first stay at Hinterwinklhof and spent a wonderfully relaxing week in a fantastic apartment overlooking Lake Achensee. It was peaceful, the hosts were really friendly and happy to handle special requests, and the wood paneling throughout made the place cozy. The kitchen was very well equipped. We had a great time. We loved the big balcony and the direct mountain views. The apartment was great, and the landlord was superb. Bus and train stations are easy to get to. Definitely recommended!

The children’s favorite parts were the playground and all the animals. They could help in the barn, watch, and learn every day. A short walk across the meadow leads to a lake spot that feels idyllic and completely private. The apartment was clean, thoughtfully decorated, and had an unbeatable view. We felt peaceful and grounded here, and were more than satisfied with how friendly the hosts were. The village has shops, and the apartment makes a great base for hikes or trips to other places. We’ll definitely return. A huge thank you for such a wonderful time! 🫶🏻

We’ve already booked again for next year. Everything was spotless, the apartment had excellent amenities, and we could get fresh produce from the farm. There’s also a private swimming spot with a bench and a view of the lake. The host was super friendly, and the location was excellent, with private parking and hiking trails starting right at the restaurant, including routes with summit options. The apartment had everything we could have wanted here. All the photos were taken looking out from the apartment. Thanks for a great stay!
