We had a nice, family-friendly stay in a good location, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There's a lot of potential here, though a couple of details took away from the holiday. The terrace is described as having a view, but large trees block it, so there is hardly any Alpine view. They also charge hotel guests for tap water, which I haven't encountered at another hotel.

The staff were all super friendly, and the room was comfortable. The twin beds did tend to slide apart, which was my only room complaint. The buffet food was a bit pricey, but you can't really go wrong with a buffet.

A weekend here paired with a visit to Admont Abbey makes a worthwhile trip. The reception staff were attentive and friendly, though the waitstaff could be less welcoming and sometimes seemed overwhelmed, even when there weren't many customers. The rooms are ordinary youth hostel rooms, and cleanliness was adequate, but the showers could use better maintenance. The smoking room, knight's hall, and chapel are especially worth seeing. Best of all, staying at the youth hostel in Röthelstein Castle gives you the unusual chance to spend a night in a charming, well-preserved castle.

Getting up the mountain was a little confusing, but the location is beautiful and the views are fantastic. The food was good, and the staff were friendly. A quiet spot away from the city.

The view from this castle hotel is breathtaking, and breakfast was tasty with plenty to choose from. Unfortunately, our family was put in the small house. It was adequate, but had no real charm. The restaurant was closed while we were there, and it would have been good to know that in advance.
