The animals at the Schartner riding farm are clearly cared for so well, and the owner's hospitality is wonderful. I've stayed there several times and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The apartments mix traditional charm with a cozy, modern feel. The horses are happy, the riding lessons are fantastic, and there are trail rides through beautiful countryside. I'll definitely return.

We spent three nights at the Schartner Riding Farm in Altaussee and all felt very comfortable. Eva, the owner, made us feel so welcome and looked after us so lovingly that the stay became unforgettable. She's a fantastic riding instructor and very conscientious with the animals. Our children loved their lessons and learned a lot, and it's clear the horses' well-being comes first. The surroundings are breathtaking and perfect for relaxing walks or riding. We'd love to come back, and highly recommend the Schartner Riding Farm for a family break that's both relaxing and exciting. Thank you, Eva, for those unforgettable days!

The horses roam freely in a huge paddock, and the stable has none of that common arrogance or elitist feel. With two children who just want to learn to ride, this is ideal. The scenery is wonderful, the accommodation in the beautiful old house is lovely, and the people are exceptionally nice. If you love nature and care about the horses you ride, I highly recommend it. We'd gladly return anytime.
