Breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly, but dinner was nearly impossible to eat. It was frozen food, the meat was swimming in fat, and the stale salad had a cheap-oil dressing. Smoke from people on the terrace also came into our room. The room itself was old and worn. Even with the good location and kind owners, we won't be back.

We paid a lot for food that seemed entirely frozen. Both the three-cheese plate with cranberries and the salad with tomato and mozzarella pastries were made up of frozen products, despite the exorbitant price. I can't recommend it.

The kitchen being open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM is a real plus, and the cream slice was the best I've ever tried, even compared with the celebrity pastry shops I've visited. Take some cake home! The menu is extensive but mostly regional, straightforward fare. Everything is freshly made with no ready-made products, and the mostly seasonal, local salad comes with a superb dressing. Service was friendly, competent, and prompt. A top-class restaurant with excellent traditional and regional cooking, and a must if you're in the Annaberg area.
