Hotel Ammerhauser

We’re planning to come back. Everything from the surroundings and terrace to dinner and reception was great, and there’s a public swimming pool you can use for free. Our room was clean and really nice. Breakfast was the best, with lots of homemade and organic ingredients. One of the friendliest hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

After a long, hot day visiting Salzburg, coming back here felt like finding an oasis. The yard is so peaceful, with trees to sit under and a cold drink to enjoy. The hotel is family-run, and the owners and staff are very friendly. It’s around 15 minutes by car from the city center, and they also provide free bikes for the ride into town. The room was a little smaller than I expected, but the beds were comfortable and everything was very, very clean. The place is all bio and eco-friendly, uses recycled paper, and gets its food from local farmers. The food was really good too. Breakfast was an elegant buffet with all organic food, and I loved using the juicer for carrot juice each morning. There’s also a public pool next door, a great place to cool off on hot days.

We were lucky to find this place after arriving late in Salzburg during a festival, when everywhere else was full. Parking outside was free, and there’s a big supermarket right next door. It’s only about 15 minutes from town. The hospitality was amazing. My room was big and immaculately clean, the Wi-Fi was good, and the sauna I tried was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely amazing too. Thank you very much, I highly recommend staying here.

The food was okay, nothing special, but the way the owner spoke to us was really unpleasant. We were told we couldn’t eat outside because of a “lack of personnel,” even though the very nice waitress said it would be fine with her. Instead, we were expected to sit in a very hot, humid conservatory with the windows shut. Sorry, but that isn’t good customer service. Do they obviously not need customers?
