Our room was large and clean, and the staff were friendly. The all-inclusive setup works well: besides meals, there’s “Kuchen” at 4 o’clock, plus drinks as much as you want until 8 in the evening. Some food was mediocre. Beef, chicken, and rice that had been simmering for a while were delicious, but the fries and potato croquettes were limp and cold in the warming container. Luckily, there were other options, so we skipped those. Aside from the food quality, it’s an excellent hotel for the money.

Two friends and I spent an extended winter weekend at The Lions Hotel-Guesthouse. They mostly cater to larger groups in winter, so we were lucky to enjoy the hotel’s highlights: the Egyptian-style sauna and spa area, plus the schnapps cellar. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Amazing!

The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious, and the food tastes good. Breakfast and lunch had enough to eat, though dinner ran out quickly. It’s also served late, which wasn’t comfortable with very young children. There are plenty of places for kids to play: a corner inside by the dining area, spots on the hotel grounds, and another playground across the road. The service was good overall, and the location is right in the center of the Zillertal, with most activities only a few minutes away.

The basement is especially beautiful, and the food is very good too. They even made me a chicken wiener schnitzel that wasn’t on the menu. Prices are really good as well.
