VAYA Zillertal

The recurring problem is parking. Spaces can be scarce when it’s busy, and although there are designated spots and underground parking, the rules don’t always seem to be enforced consistently. That can be confusing or frustrating when you arrive. Some spaces are also a bit of a walk from the hotel entrance. VAYA Zillertal is largely a positive stay if cleanliness, design, and good restaurant service matter to you. Breakfast timing, parking, and the elevators’ capacity could still get in the way for some guests.

It’s a calm, relaxing setting, and the hotel itself is modern and comfortable. Our room was nicely decorated and well equipped. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and very good quality. Highly recommended.

The room and hotel were quiet, and breakfast was good. Overall, I’d give it 8.5/10. Dinner is a set offer of three meals for 39e/person plus drinks, so I went to another local restaurant because I only wanted one dish from the menu. There weren’t any local activities or tourist cards either. I’d suggest including parking in the booking price, providing tourism cards for guests, and offering more dinner choices. Parking is 200meters uphill from the hotel and costs an extra 8eur. The welcome drinks were alcohol, Sprite, or cola. I asked for a virgin cocktail, but they didn’t offer one and returned my cards.

The daily leaflet with weather conditions and a quote of the day showed how much effort the staff put into the guest experience, and they were incredibly kind. The rooms were clean and spacious, with balconies looking out over the slopes. The wellness area has several saunas, a massage area, and an indoor kids’ pool. It’s a super cute hotel with stunning views and a perfect spot near the ski slopes. Breakfast and dinner were included and delicious. Whether you want to spend the day relaxing or head out skiing and adventuring, it works well. Truly great value for the price!
