We've stayed at Hotel Alpenrose five times and have always felt very comfortable there. The rooms are new and spotlessly clean, and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast offers lots of variety and everything you could want. We’ll definitely be back!

The rooms that have been updated are really nice, though the lounge, dining room, reception and stairwell all feel a bit dated. There isn't a bar open in the evenings either. Breakfast was the weakest part for me: not much bread to choose from, no local specialties, and the display felt uninspired. Maybe the low occupancy played a part. I'd call it a three-star stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the long trip from Berlin was worth making. The hotel is clean, the breakfast is good, and there's a small, lovely sauna. The staff are friendly, and it feels like a well-run family business. We came for the scenery, hiking, skiing, good food, rest and relaxation, and especially the lovely people. The dairy products, fruit, juices and jams were very good, and the apartment itself was clean, nicely furnished and had comfortable beds. The bathroom felt a little cramped, though. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more mixed: there was plenty available, but some bread and pastries seemed reheated or left from the day before. A few cold cuts looked discolored and tasted rancid, and the precooked scrambled eggs were hard. I'd prefer egg dishes made fresh to order.
