The rooms were fine and had a great view, but the host made the stay miserable. Our tour group of 15 was on its way to Oktoberfest, and the owner was extremely rude and impolite. The hospitality was awful, and he never made us feel welcome. The food felt like cafeteria fare after coming all the way from the US to Austria. We were given two chicken choices: fried chicken tenders with fries, apparently because we were from the States, or chopped mystery fowl full of tiny bones with cold plain noodles. There was also an overcooked frozen vegetable mix. Despite the full bar in front of us, we weren’t allowed to have a cocktail. It was rainy and cold in late September, but the hot tub wasn’t opened. He said it was broken, though he wouldn’t show us when asked. I suspect our tour guide paid him handsomely. If you want somewhere nice, go to Pension Leprich. Ernst is awesome!

The train stop was about a ten-minute walk, and we could rent an e-bike for the day right beside the hotel. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a spectacular mountain view just beyond the balcony.

The nearby mountains and the view were magnificent, and the location was nice. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the staff were very helpful. The owner was a nice guy who spoke excellent English, German, and Chinese. There’s bike rental too, with several types available for a fee. I hope to visit again.

The hotel and room were nice and clean, and the food was good, but I was very disappointed with the spa and staff. We chose this place especially for the spa, then only found out on arrival that it was supposedly being reconstructed. There’d been no notice on the websites or anywhere else. I went to look for myself and saw no work going on. Bathrobes and towels were even ready for guests. I can’t help thinking that, with so few guests, the staff just didn’t want to switch on the sauna, whirlpool, or heated pool.
