Cushy Apartment in Bad Kleinkirchheim near Ski Area

We had a fairly pleasant stay at this Hungarian-run guesthouse. The rooms were spacious and clean, the bathrooms were nice, and the ski shelter was fine. Breakfast was simple and tasty, though repetitive: rolls, bread, three kinds of ham, cheese, boiled eggs, cucumber, three kinds of cottage cheese, milk, and cornflakes. There were no hot sausages or fried eggs. Dinner arrived from a nearby restaurant around 6 pm, with two dishes to choose from each day. There was no soup beforehand, so the children couldn’t manage all the food at once. We ended up eating downtown at a more convenient time. The maid spoke only Hungarian, so we had to contact the manager, who spoke English fluently but was available only mornings and evenings. My email reservation was for bed and breakfast, but the pension's final confirmation said half board. I managed to sort it out, though you should check the final offer carefully. Cancellations require paying the full fee, so read the rules closely or get extra insurance.

The staff were so friendly, and both breakfast and dinner were tasty. Our family really enjoyed the week here. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had plenty of hot water. The pension is also very close to the village center, making it a great location. I’d happily recommend it to families or couples, and we’ll definitely return.

It felt like home, and the food was great. There are two saunas in the building, which were amazing, and a private parking lot behind the hotel. The ski slopes are only a three-minute walk away, and after skiing, a free bus drops you right in front.

The rooms were clean and the food was acceptable. The staff were okay and speak Hungarian as well. Parking spaces are limited.
